HOLY CRAP!
So much has happened since then. We now have 2 kids, Jack was born October 19 2011. He is 7 months old now. And happy as a clam. Brayden loves him (as do we).
We are still in the same house (not for long I hope), we just re-did our deck and the fence is the next project. I hope that we are able to move at the end of the summer. My sister and her husband just moved into their "new"house. A few friends of ours are moving or just did so it's kind of given me the moving bug. It doesn't help that we watch a lot of tv shows that are about people searching for new homes(house hunters).
I'm too tired to think of anything else to say, it's been a LONG day.
I'll try to post more often, not sure if that'll happen.

So long...
catch up on. Brayden is now 14 months old and he is so awesome. I
couldn't ask for a better baby. Except when it comes to his sleeping
habits. He doesn't know how to put his self to sleep. So this results
in us having to rock him to sleep or pat his back till he falls asleep,
and hope that he doesn't wake up as we are putting him in his crib.
He also likes to wake up in the middle of the night still. Not to eat,
but he just wakes up and starts crying and then we have to put him back
to sleep. Then I lose sleep, and Kyle looses sleep too. Usually I get
up first and if I can’t get him back to sleep Kyle steps in and tries
his luck, and then if he can’t do it I try again. Kyle gets up super
early so I try to not have him have to stay up a lot. But eventually
Brayden goes back to sleep. and then if he decides that he wants to
wake up at 6am I bring him into bed with me and we go back to sleep
for a hour or 2 (if I'm lucky).
We are really hoping that he gets his sleeping act together by the time
the new baby comes. Oh yeah, we are pregnant again! A bit of a surprise
but we are super happy! I really hope it’s a girl. I’d love one of each,
plus one more, lol. But I’ll be happy with whatever we get. Due October
30th, I decided that I’ll be a pumpkin for Halloween.
The sleeping arrangements are going to be a pain in the butt though.
In our house we have 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 down. So the kids will
either have to share a room upstairs or we have to banish Brayden to
the basement when he’s 2. And that doesn’t seem very fair. We will have
the new baby in our room in a bassinette for the first little bit and
then if need be we can have the crib in our room too until Brayden wants
to sleep in the basement. The other thing is going to be converting him
to his big boy racecar bed. I have a cousin (Kim) who’s kids are the
same age distance apart as our kids will be so I’ve been asking her for
advice. And she started the transition into the big girl bed about 3
months before the other baby was due to arrive and she said that Brianne
(her daughter) took to it right away. So if we did that Brayden would be
about 18 months. I figured we could have both the crib and the racecar
in his room and kinda let him decide, I’m not sure if that the right way
to do it but we shall see how it goes. We still have time to figure it
out. And I hope by then he sleeps “normal”.
Hummmm, what else. Well Heather and Beau are FINALLY getting married.
He asked her on Christmas morning. Very exciting stuff. She has her dress
ordered and just waiting for it to come in. and we have ordered our
bridesmaids dresses too. Myself and one other bridesmaids are both
expecting, we ordered the same dress, which is fine. I think we will end
up getting different lengths, so they will have a slight difference. I’m
very excited, I’m starting to plan her staggette, but not setting anything
in stone yet because there is still lots of time. Lindsay (one of the other
bridesmaids) will be planning and hosting the Bridal Shower, so all that
stuff is in her very capable hands, I think I just have to help out with
the guest list.
I’ve been working at a printing company for just about 7 months now. Its
so awesome. My boss is so nice! After working here for just 2 months he
gave me a extra $1 per hour, and then at my 6 month mark they gave me a
extra $2 per hour, and then 2 weeks later I told them I was pregnant. He
was super happy for us. He just said to give him as much notice as I could
before I have doctor’s appointments and to not over work myself.
I cant think of anything else to talk about. So that’s it for now.

Wow, it's been a really long time...
We were watching TV Friday night, and at 2am (on the 23rd) we decided to turn the TV off and try to get some sleep. Kyle fell asleep right away, as he usually does, but I stayed awake. At 2:10 I got my first contraction, they kept coming every 5 minutes. At 3am they were still coming every 5 minutes and they weren't too bad so I didn't want to wake
Kyle up just yet. So to keep my mind off the pain I went and made some juice, cleaned the kitchen and straitened the living room. I went back to bed at 3:30. Tried to get some sleep but couldn't, I ended up standing and swaying back and forth because the contractions were getting worse. At 4am I woke Kyle up to say that I was no longer
comfortable at home and he needed to call his mom to take us to the hospital. Cheri got to our house at 4:10 and we got to the PLC at 4:20. I went to triage, they hooked me up to the monitors, and a doctor came and checked me. She said I was 3 1/2 and 80%, and that we could either go home and wait it out or we could go walk around the hospital for a while, and get some breakfast. We chose to walk, the nurse told us to come back at 7. The cafeteria wasn't open yet so we walked around till 5:30 then went and ate. Walked a little more, then when I was in too much pain to want anymore we went back, and that
just so happened to be at 7:00! So we got checked in to our L&D room. I tried to sleep but couldn't, so I had a shower, Kyle went and got a red bull for himself. I was in the shower for about 30 minutes, it really helped with the pain. Then I went to lie in bed, and tried to sleep. Kyle was able to sleep a bit, but I couldn't. I think it was between 10-11 that I asked for the epidural. After the anesthesia doctor came and worked his magic I was able to sleep for a bit. The doctor broke my water because it didn't on its own. I kept falling asleep, but the nurse would come in the room every 15 minutes and it would wake me up. The nurse that I had shift was over at 3:00pm so I got a new one, they were both very nice. But it was around this time that Brayden's heart rate kept dropping and wasn't coming back up very fast, the nurses had me move around a lot to try and get it back up,
it worked for a while then I would have to move again, finally we got a good spot on my back that I could stay in. I started to feel the need to push, called the nurse in, she checked me, and I had a bit of cervix left so she had me push a little to try and get it out of the way, which I did. They told me I was a pushing superstar. She noticed some brown in the fluid and thought he might have pooped and could have swallowed some of it. And they were worried about his heart rate so they felt they needed to get him out quick so they used a vacuum. And it kept slipping so they ended up using forceps. After just 10 minutes of pushing Brayden was out. He didn’t breath right away, they took him to the table and sucked out his lungs then he started breathing okay. Because he didn't breath right away and the muck he needed to go to the NICU, Kyle went with him. After I was sewn up they wheeled my bed to the NICU and I got to see him for a bit. I went to my room after a bit. Then dad came to the hospital and we went to see Brayden, there were a bunch of nurses around him they said they think he had a seizer. They told me later that they were going to transfer him to the foothills hospital, and I would be transferred too.
Brayden was transferred at about 2 am, and I was transferred around 3 am. They did an ultrasound, it showed that there was some swelling, but no blood on the brain, so that's good. Just swelling of the skin, but that’s expected when they use a vacuum. The EEG showed some activity on the left side and that could have been the cause of the “seizer”, but just in case we have to give him some anti-seizure meds. He had a spinal tap done to check for infections, it came back with nothing wrong. He was taken off the antibiotics after the results came back (on the 26th).
We got to bring Brayden home on January 29th. My mom came and stayed with us for a week. It was really nice having her around, she was a big help.
3 weeks+
Goes to bed between 10-11, wakes up around 2 or 3, back to sleep till 5 or 6, up again around 9. Naps around noon for a hour, then cat naps through the day.
March 1st, 6 week check up, 10lbs, everything looks good.
5-6 weeks, started smiling and laughing.
He went for his 2 month shots, March 23rd, he is 11lbs 12 oz. 22 ¾ inches. They gave him 3 shots, 2 in one leg and 1 in the other, the first one was a surprise, he didn’t really react to it, the 2nd and 3rd were bad, he started screaming. The nurse had a bell to distract him, then he was fine. He slept in the car for a bit (on the way to see the neurologist). He was a little fussy in the evening, we had a bath, I think that helped.
We went to see a neurologist on March 23, Dr. Periur, she said that we can start weining Brayden off the phena (anti-seizure meds) . So for the next week we would give him 1ml in the AM and 1.6 in the PM. Then the next week it would be 1 and 1. Then nothing in the morning and 1 ml in the PM. And then finally nothing. Awesome! We will take Brayden to have another EEG, we are just waiting for the place to call and tell us when our appointment will be. And in either June or July we will go back to see Dr. Periur just for a check up. She also suggested that we take Brayden to a head shape clinic at the children’s hospital, he has been favoring his left side and has a bit of a flat spot. We are trying to get him to sleep on his right side to kinda even it out a little, we'll see how that goes. He will go see our family doctor for his 3 month check up in 2 weeks and we'll see what she says. Who knows, maybe it'll be fixed by then.
9 weeks old, found his fingers, they sure are tasty. Started laughing a lot more and smiles most of the time.
April 15th, 11 weeks, holds his head up really well. He loves it when Kyle throws it in the air and bounces him in the couch or a pillow. It makes him laugh out loud, and it helps soothe him while I get ready to feed him.
He loves bath time, he’s been bathing with me most of the time, we all had a shower together, I think he liked it. It just made him too slippery, so we might not do that again for a while.
11 weeks, rolls from his back to his side.
13 weeks, 3 month check up, 13lbs, 24.5 inches.
April 21 - rolled from his back to his stomach! (on the couch)
May 16th, rolled from his back to his stomach, on his mat, on the floor, May 17, rolled over again in his crib.
He loves his jolly jumper, he really likes to stair at the dog, kicks like crazy while on his mat.
May 10, mixed some pablum in with his formula before he went to bed to see if it would fill him up more so he would sleep longer, it didn’t really help much. But he really likes it.
May 25th, 4 month shots. 14lbs 13oz. 25 inches. Hated getting shots, duh, cried a bit, gave him some Tylenol, slept a little extra. He’s on just formula now, he just always wanted to eat and I didn’t feel like he was getting enough. Its fine, he likes the cheap stuff, 1kg container of the wall-mart brand, parents choice, is $12.97 (May).
June 23rd, 5 Months old! I took him to the health clinic to see how big my little man it. 16lbs 2oz. 25 inches tall. He rolls over all the time now. We cant put him down with out him rolling onto his tummy. He hasn’t quite mastered the rolling back onto his back yet, he does it, just not very often. While on his tummy he holds his head up and will sometimes push his butt in the air. And kick like he’s wanting to crawl away.

20 Weeks and 4 days
(not the best picture because of the sun (and Kyle's non-smile), but still good)
I got really car sick on the way home(tuesday) and ended up using a tupperware container at a 'sickness bag'. and then because i wasn't feeling good i didn't want to eat anything and that made baby boy mad at me. so all day Wednesday i was feeling like i was going to be sick. I was talking to a lady at my work who has 2 boys (one is 3 and the other is 1 1/2 (i think)) and told her that i wasn't feeling well, she asked what i had eaten, and i told her tost for breakfast, apple at 10am, and soup for lunch. she said that, that wasn't good enough. and that i should be snacking more. and then when i got home from work, still feeling yucky, i ate dinner and then i felt fine. i dont like that feeling of wanting to throw up, so now instead of bringing just one apple a day to work with me i'm going to bring 2, and eat more at breakfast. maybe have a few spare granola bars in my desk and purse.
So i've started to feel him move(the baby, duh), its mostly in the mornings when i wake up, and then when i'm getting ready for bed. I got a heart dopler thing, just one of those cheepy ones, not like the one that the doctors have, its not very strong, i can only hear my own heart beat through it. but it says that it works best when your 28-30 weeks, so maybe it will work better then. i was reading on babycenter.ca and some people sugested that you do it when your bladder is full. so maybe i'll try that.
I'm starting to get hungry now so i'm going to eat one of my apples! bye byee for now.

17 Weeks (and 5 days)
i was at Kyle's parents house the other day and found the cutest picture of Kyle when he was a baby!
isn't he just the cutest ever! i love this picture so much. i hope that our baby is this cute. once i find one of my baby pictures i'll put it up too. maybe it'll give us a idea of what our baby might look like. lol.
so anyways. i dont have anything else to say. i'm so just excited for next friday. this next week will either drag on or will go by super fast. we'll wait and see.
oh yeah, this is what my baby center update said for this week.....
Hello Amanda!
17 weeks pregnant
You may be gaining weight rapidly at this point, even if you're not eating much. Experts say that the amount of weight you put on during pregnancy is dictated primarily by your genes, so don't necessarily blame yourself if the weight's accumulating faster than you'd like. Your baby's movements are felt as a gentle, fluttering sensation at first, but get stronger and more obvious as time passes. Some babies kick vigorously and often, others are quieter. And many seem most active at night!
Bye byee for now.

Week 16 AKA 4 months
Your baby's about the size of an avocado now but in the next three weeks, he'll go through a tremendous growth spurt — doubling his weight and increasing his length. In the meantime, he'll be playing with his umbilical cord and practising breathing by inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid through his lungs. You're going through a bit of a growth spurt yourself. Your uterus has expanded so much that the ligaments in your abdomen are stretching to make room for it. If you feel any twinges of pain now, that's why.
I get these every week, they are very interesting. I think its cute that they will say either he or she when they talk about the baby, it changes every week. I cant wait till i can say he or she. I'm very much looking forward to the ultrasound on the 28th. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. we will get to hear the heart beat again, i'm going to see if she (my doctor) will let me record it onto my phone. then i could listen to it all day. We bought one of those at home heart dopler things, but its not powerful enough to hear through all the layers (lol). the booklet that came with it said it would work at around 24-30 weeks, i wanted it to work before that. but guess not, i'll try every once and a while and think that i can hear it, but most of the time i think its my own heart beat, or my stomach making noises.
(Getting off the baby subject now)
Heather (my sister) had a 'Pampered Chef' party on the weekend. Pampered chef is a product line of kitchen items created my a woman in Texas that wanted to spend less time in the kitchen and more time with her family. So anyways. Lindsay (my sisters friend who sells Pampered Chef) and Heather put on a little show and everyone watched them prepare some little snacks and drinks. We had Jerk Chicken Nachos, that were so good i ordered the jamican jerk rub/seasoning. she also made jalapeno pizza popers, and me being pregnant gets heart burn really easy so i didn't try those, but by what everyone else said they were good. we also had triple citrus mojitos, no rum and vodka in mine! and those were SO good.
i think there were 10 ladies there in total (including Heather and Lindsay) and everyone bought something (not Lindsay though). So i guess one of the perks of having this party was that depending on how much your party go-ers spend you get free stuff! for example, Lindsay sold just over $700 worth of product, which ment that Heather got $145 worth of free product, and 3 items at 50% off! she got a bunch of free stuff. so this got me thinking. I SHOULD TOTALLY HAVE A PAMPERED CHEF PARTY!!! Heathers party was on Sunday, and on Monday morning i had mine all planned and ready to invite people. so yeah. i'm quite excited for my party, I've invited a lot of family members, a few people from work, and some ladies that live across the street. so far there are 6 people coming (not including me or Lindsay). some people that i work with cant make it, so i brough them copies of the catalog and order forms, one lady has ordered $141 worth of stuff, and the other $152! that will count towards my party total! so yay, free stuff for me! anyways. thats all i could think of to write.
Bye byee for now,
Amanda

Pregnancy Updates...
Had a doctors appointment, we talked about a bunch of stuff. She will refer me to a different doctor for delivery. She doesn't do that. I asked that I be sent to Peter Lougheed (?), as it’s easier to get to.
Booked an ultra sound (two words?) for June 10 to see exactly how far along I am. Booked a physical for July 2.
June 1, 2009
I'm not sure if its because I haven’t been sleeping well, or if its because of the baby but I’ve just been really tired. It doesn't help that it’s hot in the house.
June 5, 2009
I felt sick in the morning all week, I didn't ever actually throw up, and I sure felt like I could have. No food cravings, just hungry all the time. I get really hungry in the mornings, I never use too. Fruit will usually fix it.
June 9, 2009
Tomorrow is the ultra sound, I’m so excited. My doctor thinks I am 12 weeks along, I don’t think so. I just want to see it. And know that it really is there. I think I’m only like 6-8 weeks. So we'll see.
June 15, 2009
We had the ultra sound last Wednesday, very exciting. I defiantly wasn't as far along as my doctor thought. I’m only 7 weeks. As of today I will be 8 weeks. By the time we go to Kyle’s cousins wedding I will be at 12. So that'll be good. And I’ll go in for my 18-week ultra sound because we go to BC. So we can tell Kyle's aunt Heather, she wants to know the sex of the baby so she can buy us stuff. Nothing else to report, feeling okay, just tired. I think my due date is January 25th.
June 26, 2009 (week 9)
I have no idea what my due date is. Now I think its December 28. I’ll ask the doctor when we go. If I remember, I’ve been forgetting a lot lately. I’m having problems keeping my suppers down. I’m thrown up a few times, and every other time I’ve been really sick and wanting too. Oh well, I don’t mind because it’s leading up to something awesome.
July 15, 2009 (week 12)
I forgot to ask the doctor when my due date would be. Oh well. I am now past my 3 months, YAY! I haven’t gotten sick again for a while, so that’s good. I don’t really feel different, I think I will once I start to be able to feel it move.
*****Today
July 27, 2009
So..... My real due date is January 26, 2010. I was really close with my first prediction. So now instead of my thinking I was going to have a Christmas baby it will be a my birthday present. Depending on when it wants to show up.
We heard the heart beat on July 23! At my doctors appointment. it was awesome, like a horse running (trotting). 150bpm I think she said. I cried, no really I did, and I know I never cry, right? Haha, wrong, I’m a crybaby.
I booked my 18-week ultra sound for August 28th at 11:45am! I really hope it’s in the right position that we can see what the sex will be. I NEED TO KNOW!!!!! Well I don’t need to, I just really really want to. And I think a lot of other people want to know as well. I would like it to be a girl. But I’m not going to be sad if it’s a boy. As long as it’s healthy then I don’t care. I have another doctor’s appointment August 17th, I’ll be able to hear the heart beat again!!!! I'm going to record it this time and send it to my mom! She will love that.
So those are my 'journal' entries. I’ll post them on here whenever I do them.
We are going to my mom's house this weekend (long weekend). And we will go to waterton for a hike and camp there one night. It’ll be nice. I know that we will go for a hike on Saturday, I’m not sure what we will do Saturday night, maybe play cards. Who knows, I think it will be fun. It’ll be nice to get away. And its brooks' birthday this weekend, so that’s another reason that we are going.
Not much else to write about. We are slowly cleaning out all the rooms in our house to make room for baby. I had no clue how much junk we had till we started cleaning it. Anyways, bye byee for now.

I'm such a liar...........
A - "hi mom"
S - "hi Amanda, how are you?"
A - "I’m good, guess what"
S - "what?"
A - "guess"
S - "your pregnant"
A - "YUP!"(Me starting to cry)
S - "oh my gosh" (she totally wasn't expecting that)
A - "I know"
S - "are you crying?"
A - "yeah" (sobbing)
S - "happy crying?" (As she starts to cry)
A - "yeah" (sob)
S - "okay"
A - "you can tell Brooks"
S - "okay"
A - "but not a whole bunch of other people"
S - "okay"
A - "I’m going to e-mail every one"
S - "okay"
A - "talk to you later"
S - "love you"
A - "love you too mom"
That’s how that went. On Sunday I decided that she could tell whomever she wanted. I guess she tried to call everyone but no one would answer, so she e-mailed all her family. She was very happy.
As something fun I wanted to tell Kyle’s parents (and my dad and sister) in a different way. So we went to wal-mart and bought 4 coffee mugs and some special markers that can write on ceramic (?). And wrote "#1 Grandpa" on 2 and "#1 Grandma" on the other, and "#1 Aunt" on the 4th. We went to Kyle’s parents house first, gave it to them and Mike (Kyle's dad) burst into tears, he cried for probley 45 min's like a little girl, and Cheri (Kyle's mom) cried too, just not as much as Mike. So we were there for a bit, Mike called his Mom and talked to her for a little about it. He was very happy. So after we left there I called my dad to see if he was home. He said that he was working in the back on his truck; I said that we might stop by because I needed to drop something off. Then we made our way over. When we got there he was under his truck. We then waited for him to get out and I gave him the mug, told him to look at the other side and then his eyes went huge "REALLY???" and I said yeah, he got all teary eyed and gave me a big hug. He was so happy that he too called his family members right away, at least the ones that would answer. He talked to my aunt for a while, and then I talked to her. It was nice to see him so happy. Now it’s all he talks about. Which I’m okay with because it’s all I talk about too.
So now that I am at 12 weeks (3 months) I’m letting the whole world know. I figure that I am either due December 28th or January 18th. I have no clue. Because if you think about it, December 28th is 36 weeks. Which is 9 months, but because some months have more then 4 weeks in it it’s confusing... I’ll be 40 weeks on January 18th, so I think that would be my due date. But I don’t know. I’ll have to ask my doctor when I go in 2 weeks. I have a little list that I keep writing questions down on, and that has now been added. I didn't think to ask when I was there last week. So anyways. My doctor doesn't do the whole delivery thing, she said that the only baby that will be waking her up at 3am will he her own. She will send me to someone at the peter lougheed hospital, its about 15 min’s away from my house and really easy to get to. But until I go see that person I will go and see my normal doctor every 4 weeks.
So that’s my super exciting news that I wanted to share with everyone. We are SUPER EXCITED about it. So anyways. I better be getting back to work.

So...no baby yet.
and really sucky news...Kyle got laid off. about 2 1/2 weeks ago. we have e-mail/faxed/dropped off countless resumes and nothing! he got one call for somewhere that was only going to pay $8/hour. and that was just a joke, who can live off $8/hour??? maybe someone that doesn't have a mortage to pay. but whatever, eventually something will come up. we can afford all our bills and mortage on just my salary. and i'm getting a bonus through work so that'll help too.
but anyways. i dont have anything else to report on. bye byee for now.

End of March already?????
We finally got our shower in the down stairs bathroom put in. with assistance from my mom and Brooks. Kyle and Brooks did all the work, my mom and I just watched. But we did clean the house and got rid of a bunch of junk/garbage from the back yard. And we put a “new” toilet in the basement and in the up stairs bathroom. So with that being done we will soon re-do the counter top down there as well, and lastly the floors and that bathroom will be done! For the upstairs bathroom we just need to put in the new counter-top (sink and taps), and then that will all be done.
We will start finishing the baseboards next weekend I think, or maybe this week sometime. We are having people (my cousin Kim, her husband Andrew and baby Brianne) over for dinner on Thursday so it wont be that day. Maybe Wednesday if I think we can get it all done, we’ll have to wait and see. We are going to Edmonton this weekend so it won’t be Saturday that we get it done.
There are now new doors on the 2 bedrooms and the 1 bathroom upstairs, and wow did it ever make such a difference. The only problem was that the house was so old that everything shifted, so the square doors didn’t fit the doorways. So we had to sand the doors down till they would close. And now all I need to do is paint them. I would really like to just go home today and get my can of white and finish all the trim that’s up right now. Maybe that’s what I will do. First cook dinner, then paint. Good plan.
We are now looking for someone to cut the trees down in our front yard. I have a plan on what I’m going to put there, and I wont have to get the stumps grinded out, so that’s good. We can leave the stumps in, what I’m planning on doing is build really bid planters boxes around them. And then put flowers and shrubs in them. It’s a really good plan, its just going to take a while to get it done. Eventually I will have the out side of the house looking how I want it to.
I think that’s all the house stuff… if I think of anything else later I’ll stick it in.
So now I’ve started my hormone therapy, YAY!!!! I’m taking clomid. Its weird. I’ll explain it in not to much detail, and if people want more info, e-mail me. Haha, so on day 3 I take a blood test to see where my hormone levels are at, then from Day 3-7 I take 1 pill at bed time, because it makes me dizzy, then day 10-16 “like rabbits” (some people might get what that means, if you don’t, think dirty), hahaha. Then on day 21 more blood work to see if hormone levels changed, if there is a good increase then that means that I ovulated. And then wait 2 weeks and take a pregnancy test. If preggers, awesome, if not start from day 1.
I’ve also decided that I’m not going to look for a new job. I’m going to stay where I’m at. Because what if I go get pregnant? Like every place that you work you have to be there for a year to qualify for mat leave. So I’ll stay here till I get pregnant, and then go on my mat leave. And maybe come back here. If I really want to. That is undecided. I’m sure that I will work again, Kyle’s mom doesn’t work, so I’m sure she won’t mind being the baby sitter.
So that’s just about it for now. Nothing else that I can think of that I want to tell the world. Spring should be here. It snowed like 15 inches Saturday night, so it doesn’t feel like spring. But a lot melted yesterday and today. But apparently its going to snow more this week. I just keep telling my self, that all the snow is really water and its going to make all my flowers happy, and the grass green. Maybe if I tell myself that enough it will come true, haha. Anyways. Its almost home time, I didn’t think it would take this long to type out my blog, but I kept getting interrupted by work. Oh well. Bye byee for now.

Oh my goodness…. Its 2009 already.
Christmas was good. We got to go see all the people that we wanted to see, and spend some extra time with my mom (we finally found someone that could watch the dog overnight). We got everything we wanted/asked for, plus a little more. It seems like Christmas took forever to get here and of course like every year its gone in a blink. We were driving last night and some people still had their trees up, lights going and all. I took ours down on the 27th, I don’t like leaving it up longer then it needs to be. Same with the out-door lights, they are still up, just not on. We’ll take them down the next time its nice out.
For the past week the weather has been crazy, -42 with the wind chill one day and then 2 days later the Chinook comes. When the weather is like that it’s not really all that good, Kyle and I both get head aches. But its okay, we just take the extra strength stuff and tough through it.
Last Friday (the 2nd) was my 2-year anniversary for working at AGAT. It sure doesn’t seem like its been that long. But then again we have owned our house for 2 ½ years now. So its not all that shocking. And in 2 weeks I will be 22. Sometimes when I think back to things I cant believe that some times I have to day that something happened 12 years ago.
Anyways, I don’t have anything else to write about, that I can think of. Bye byee for now.

December
Winter I guess is finally here. We had a pretty good windstorm the other night, it didn’t bring very much snow with it. But it blew so hard and flung the screen door open I thought it was broken, but it was okay.
We got all our Christmas lights and decorations put up. And I’m glad that we did it last week when it was “nice” out. I’ve wrapped all the parents and other family members gifts, and I think today I will attempt to wrap Kyle’s.
We are going to hold off on any more renovations to the house till the spring, the only thing that is left is to finish the stairs and front entry. Well the only ‘big’ thing. And we need to use a wet tile saw, but wont when it’s so cold and snowing out side. Unless my dad tells us of something we can use inside to cut the tile we are out of luck till spring.
We finally chose a gym to join, on a 1 year contract too. So no backing out this time, I think we will be more diligent with going this time around, first off we have a car so it is easier to get there and home, and in order for us to have a baby my doctor said that I need to loose weight, because weight loss will give your body a 'kick' in the reproductive area (her words). So I’m excited, we went last night and we are going tonight too. I want to loose 15lbs by Christmas, and I’m not drinking pop anymore either, well maybe 1 can every 2 weeks. But water with dinner every night, I already drink a lot of water, but not so much with food, so I hope this will help.
We got our Christmas plans all straitened out. We will go to Lethbridge in the morning on the 24th, spend the day with my mom, Brooks(mom’s husband) and my Grandma who is up from Orem Utah. And any other family members that happen to pop by. Then I think we will go to my Aunt Denise’s house in the evening for my dad’s side of the family’s Christmas get together. Then back to Calgary for Christmas morning with Kyle’s parents, then we will go home, have our Christmas with just the 2 of us, plus the dog and cat. Then back to the in-laws for Dinner. I think I’m going to see if my Dad, his girlfriend, Heather and Beau will come over for early Christmas dinner and gift opening on the 20th, or21st And if that doesn’t work then we would have to do the 27th. I’ll have to call him and see what there plans are then we can decide. Christmas was always pretty crazy, having to decide where everyone goes for those days, and wanting to be with all the different sides of the family. But we are going to try and see everyone this year and see how that works out.
I’ve decided that instead of buying people that I work with gifts I’m going to bake cookies and put them in cute little Christmas looking containers and just give those out. Its better then spending a bunch of money on people and I think that people like it better because you took the time to put everything together. I hope that people will like that.
I don’t have anything else to report on. TTYL…

November all ready...
We have decided that we aren't going to sell our house just yet, the market has really dropped, so we'll wait till it starts to pick up. we have a "friend of a friend" that is a realtor and she said that the market should pick back up in 1-2years, we are okay with waiting, the house still needs a lot of work done to it.
Its starting to get cold out there again, we had our first snow fall last week. but it warmed up so most of it is gone. but in the mornings i still have to scrap my windows, which i dont mind, its better then taking the bus.
we still havn't heard back from the fertility clinic about our appointment. and havn't heard anything about Kyle's test results either. he did it more then 2 weeks ago and the doctor hasn't called or anything to let us know about it. its very frustrating because we want to find out if its just me with the problems, or both. we are still trying all the time ;) so who knows what will happen. i will call the doctor again today and leave another msg. and maybe she will get back to me. i just want to know if we are getting our referal or not and then to know when the appointment is would be fantastic. i have the number to the clinic so i figured that i could just call and see if i can make a appointment my self. but i dont know if they let you do that. but anyways. i will call and we will see whats going on with it.
For more about my condition(mainly the family members that ask me about it) you can check it out at this website(or just google PCOS)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polycystic_ovary_syndrome
but i better be getting back to work. i'm sure i'll have more to talk about in the next little bit. TTYL.

My fantastic "New" Car!!!!
hopfully we will be going to the gym on friday(*crosses*fingers*) and getting our memberships all done. i'm really getting sick and tired of looking the way that i do. i want to get as close to weighing 170lbs as i can. if less then fantastic. Kyle is feeling that way too, be wants to be 180-190lbs. we changed our diet, we eat alot better then we use to but still nothing, but i guess not losing anything is better then gaining, right?? sure, why not.
this weekend is going to be "busy" i guess our friend Andrew is going to put in our new front window. so last weekend we bought new "brick mouldings" for the windows, they are alot thicker and wider then the other ones, so we are going to need to run them threw the table saw and try and trim them. so that will be interesting. we will have to wait and see.
oh well. but i'm still really happy about the car. and thats all i have to write about for now. so ttyl. bye byee for now.

A new month...
I haven't typed anything is a while and I have quite a bit of stuff to talk about....
This past Saturday (Aug 30th) I took my road test to get my drivers license! I did really good (or so the guy said) except for the fact that I didn't slow down and yield at an uncontrolled intersection, so I failed. I wasn't very happy. But I will go again this Saturday and try another time. I’ll go to the same place so I kind of know the route that they take (the guy said it was a planed out route that they always use, so I will know what I’m doing). And hopefully I will pass because I really want to get my license and then we can get a car, because its starting to get cold and we don’t want to have to be taking the bus in the winter anymore. So that will be the first little bit of Saturday.
Later on in that day (noon-ish) we will be expecting a guy to come in from a furnace cleaning company to, you guessed it, clean our furnace (and ducts too). Its $139.00 for the furnace, 12 vents, and the dryer duct too. My mom said that is a good price. Its starting to get cold and we want to be able to turn it on with-out smelling that nasty smell that comes from the ducts from the last people that owned the house, as well as the gross smoking smell. And it will be nice to turn them on and not have dust everywhere, we're going to have the furnace inspected too. but that will be next week. so I guess I’m pretty excited about that.
a few weeks ago I canned some peaches with my cousin Kim and her mom, my aunt Nancy, and now this weekend(we hope if they are ripe enough) we are going to can some pears, which reminds me I need to go get some more big jars, I better write that down, done. anyways... I’m really looking forward to that because maybe then we won’t run out of the peaches so fast. I tend to take a jar(just a .5L) to work everyday and have that for breakfast. we only have like 4 little(.5L) jar left and like 9 of the big jars(1L) left. I was thinking that I could go out and buy some more peaches just from a store or a roadside stand, but I don’t know. they are going to run out fast and once they're gone that'll be it for the year. so I think I’ll do that. my mom said that she would bring her canning stuff down when they come down on the 12th. so I think I will plan that for then...
I cleaned the upstairs part of my house really good this weekend too. by our fireplace we have a little kind-of shelf thing that I have pictures and stuff like that on, and under it we just store junk in it, and I cleaned that out, and all around the fireplace. I cleaned off all the coffee tables and the movie cabinet, in the kitchen I have a chine hutch type thing and I cleaned out the bottom of that, and re-organized it, as well as all the kitchen and kitchen table. I got 4 bags of garbage out of there. I would have done more but it was like 1am and Kyle wanted to go to bed. I think I will try and do the computer room tonight, either before or after big brother is on. it really needs it, we still have boxes from wedding gifts in there. we really need to get to the dump but I don’t think that will happen any time soon, maybe I should call up some garbage-hauling people and see what they charge. there sure is a lot. I’ll just have to wait and see, geeze, so much to do with so little time. and while I am writing this blog I have a little post-it next to my key board where I’m writing down a list of things I want to get done before the snow hits. including the other stuff I wanted to do this weekend(the back splash in the kitchen). oh my goodness. I kind of hope that they pears aren't ripe so I can try and get some of this done. lol. I have to call my dad and see when he would be able to help put in the back splash and the front entry tile.
and on top of all that we have decided that we want to move next year, and buy a actual house, not just a du-plex like the one that we are in now, unless its one of those really nice re-done ones with the extra sound buffers in the walls so we cant hear what the people next door are doing. we decided that if everything is done by December 31st we are going to put it on the market, first for a few months on welist. and if that doesn't work we will just get a realtor. but it all depends on if everything gets done. which I’m hoping it does.
but I don’t have much else to day. at least not that I can think of right now. so I better get back to work. maybe I’ll type out my list of things to do, now that I have a list that is written on 3 different post-its. so anyways. TTYL

Happy Birthday Dad!
We get our new washer and dryer today! I’m very excited about that as well. They are really nice Kenmore, I think, front loader washer and dryer set. Dark blue. Super nice. And really big. I’m glad that I will finally be able to wash our blankets and not worry about only 1/2 of it getting washed because it wont all fit in there. I think I will end up doing a lot of laundry tonight. And we get our new fridge too. That one might be a little harder, because we were told that you should let it sit and "settle" for like 5 hours before you put any food or anything like that in it. And you have to let it get cold and all that. But it might be an issue because we don’t have any coolers to put anything in. we do have a little "bar" fridge thought, so I guess that could work. If it actually works. lol. we will have to wait and see. so now we will have replaced all the appliances in the house. but we decided that when we move if the new house and they don’t have new washer and dryers like our new ones that we will be taking them with us. I think it’s a good plan.
tomorrow I will be going over to my cousin Kim's house and we are going to can some peaches, as long as they are ripe enough. we were going to go to my aunt Nancy's house(Kim's mom) but I guess she can’t do them on her stove because it’s a smooth top. so that’s really good that we don’t have to go to Airdrie to do it, I can just walk like 5 houses down to get to Kim's. Which will be good because Kyle wasn't going to be able to help because we are also getting a new sheet of glass put in the window(the one pane(?) is cracked) and one of us has to be at the house, and because its Kyle’s friend Andrew that is doing it we figured that he should be the one that stays home. but that’s okay now, because once they are done Kyle can come over and help with the canning. so that all worked out.
I cant think of anything else to talk about, so I better be getting back to work. bye byee for now.
